final evaluation

1. What were you expectations for this course and where they met? I didn't really have any expectations for this course, I never really know what to expect because I'm not one to read course descriptions. I've been in college for so long, I just take what I need to in order to graduate and don't research it beforehand because either way I'll have to take it.  2. Now that you've been through this course, What is art? How would you define it now compared to your intial posting? That's still a really vague question. Art is a movement of movements. I mimicked these crisp, clean lines  in my own work instead of blending and blurring the paint to make soft edges. Edgar Degas Portrait de Mlle Rose Caron (Portrait of Rose Caron), ca. 1892 oil on canvas I picked this piece as inspiration because of the colors. I was drawn immediately to the yellows, pinks, and blues in their muted tones. I chose to use these base colors in my own self-portrait. 2. Wh...

module 13 and 14

For this project I chose to do Pop Art as my theme because I personally enjoy pop art. I chose artist that were pivotal in the movement, people who other artists found great inspiration from. It was definitely a tedious process to make the slide show and do research on 10 artists, but I learned a lot about works of art that I simply enjoyed looking at.
