1. ) Command D or file place allows you to drop in picture and text to your newsletter. The shift click trick- when you hold down shift and click once it pours all text into columns.
2.) Switching the workspace to typography opens all panels that are useful when working with type.
3.) You can create a frame with the rectangle frame tool or rectangle tool. Images can be placed within by clicking the frame and place.

Why selected and how might it help?
I chose this video because you can choose colors from graphics and apply them to elements in your layout. This might help so that all the colors in the newsletter are unified.
I chose this tutorial because it shows you how to make retro text, so if I can combine the retro text effect with a unified color theme I can make a newsletter that fits the style of a possible classroom environment.
I chose this video because it shows you how to create artwork inside and behind with drawing modes. If I wish to create my own graphics, this will help me make more interesting images for my newsletter.
