1. What are the three (3) most interesting facts you learned from the lecture? and why are they interesting to you?
2. Discuss the role of an art educator in regards to visual culture. Is it important? Why or why not?
3. What do you think can you take away from this lecture and apply in your future classroom as an art educator?

1.) Three most interesting facts from the lecture:
     1. Human experience is profoundly effected by images, new technology. This is interesting to me because it changes the way we see ourselves and the world without us realizing.
    2. The term visual culture brings together the visual and culture. This was an interesting statement because I think many people see the visual and culture as separate without realizing how connected they are like "social studies."
    3. Visual culture is the past and present coming together. Everything is there in your face, just in a different way. Which can cause contradictory aspects of visual because it poses many questions of if it's wrong or right.

2.) Visual culture is important because it is effecting every student in today's world. This influences how they see themselves, their peers, and the world. It influences what they do, how they talk, and how they look at art. As an art educator I think it is important to bring in aspects of visual culture to make the students aware of what influences them. Visual culture often involves things that is going on in the world presently, which brings important topics into the classroom through visual art.

3.) I think talking more about visual culture in the classroom is important in both a negative and positive and I will bring in images from the everyday visual culture world into the classroom to discuss and study.
